Sarah works with the special needs population ages 2 to adults. She has worked with special needs children, teens and adults for over 10 years in a variety of experiences. She started off her career working under the Workforce Investment Act to provide job experiences to teens with special needs. She also has run social groups for the special needs population and is passionate about helping teens develop social skills. Lastly, she has partnered with multiple agencies in the past in order to provide parent support and training for working with children with special needs.
After receiving a Masters of Education degree from Mary Baldwin college she taught elementary school in a general education classroom for two years and fell in love with teaching children with special needs. She then transferred to Fairfax County Public Schools where she taught an Enhanced Autism classroom for two years while working towards her Board Certified Behavior Analyst credential. She has been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for over 6 years serving children and adults and has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2017.
